
The US Supreme Court decision in Morrison substantially curtailed the adjudication of claims made against issuers of foreign listed securities. In its wake, securities litigation burgeoned in many countries around the world, filling in the gaps caused by Morrison. However, efforts to bring claims on foreign listed securities in the United States have been made. A recent decision in a putative class action against Barclays may be another forward step in a trend of reshoring such cases in the US.
